In 2021 I decided I to make a country album... or at least a country-inspired album under an alias, the High Cubes. Given that I grew up in Tennessee I didn't think it would be that hard. I told myself that each song needed to sound good on an acoustic guitar before any additional arrangement. I worked on it off and on until the summer of 2023 when I decided to shelf it. It just didn't sound country. But it also didn't sound like anything else I had ever written. Rather than try to develop further it made more sense to let it go. I was satisfied with the experience of making it. But my family has enjoyed the songs and encouraged me to share them. So here is Loamer in demo form, warts, blemishes and all.
